Social Inclusion Week Meeting
County Kildare LEADER Partnership is working with the PPN (Public Participation Network) Social Inclusion Pillar to develop a proposal for a Social Inclusion Week in County Kildare this year. We are also working together to develop the Social Inclusion Pillar as an active network of social inclusion groups in the county.
The main objectives for the proposed Social Inclusion Week are:
- To provide an opportunity for voluntary groups involved in social inclusion work to network and learn from each other
- To promote the social inclusion services that are being provided and to share experiences of what is working well
- To create an awareness of social inclusion work in County Kildare and to highlight issues that affect those who are most excluded in the county
- To provide information and education opportunities
A meeting will be held in the CKLP offices, Jigginstown , Naas on Thursday 18th May 2017 at 7.30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to develop a range of activities / events for Social Inclusion Week 2017. We are looking for organisations – community and voluntary / statutory and public services – to commit to using the Week as an opportunity to highlight good work around County Kildare as well as highlighting issues that affect those experiencing social exclusion. A proposed date for Social Inclusion Week is week commencing 28th September 2017 (to be confirmed).
I would like to invite you to attend next Thursday and to bring your suggestions or proposals to make Social Inclusion Week 2017 a success in County Kildare.
Please forward this email to all of your contacts in your groups/organisations.
