Kildare PPN Plenary Meeting – 6th March
We were delighted to welcome over 70 of our member groups to the Curragh Racecourse for our first Plenary meeting of the year.
Our workplan for 2023 and our budget for 2023 were presented to the member groups and were both approved and ratified.
Lorraine Benson, our environmental representative on the Local Community & Cultural SPC with Kildare County Council talked about the positive experience of being a representative and the impact that representatives can have on local decision making.
The highlight of the night included a behind the scenes tour of the Curragh grandstand, thanks to Evan and Paul at the Curragh racecourse, where our members had the opportunity to visit locations that are off limits to members of the public including the weighing room and jockeys dressing room.
The evening concluded with some light refreshments and time to allow our members to catch-up/network with one another.
